I've suffered a complete hard-drive collapse:-( So my machine is off-line for the forseeable future:-(

If I don't reply to an email—it's nothing personal! If you need to contact me, the phone is a good choice, or emailing Paddington (Livelurker). Or you could try <nickname.lastname @ gmail.com>. I might manage to check that when I do manage to borrow a spare computer...

No idea when I'll be back properly... I'd say a couple of weeks if I'm lucky:-(

For those of you subscribed to fefeed, it seems to be unhappy (actually, it may not be at the LJ end... Google Reader has also lost me). There are several posts since Saturday.

There was a glitch at my end (genialhearth.com pointing at the wrong page). In fixing it, something else seems to have gone haywire, so now earthyself.com/feblog doesn't work... and I think at least some of the feeds may have pointed there.

Anyway... Feedburner seems to have the lot, as does this feed if you're looking for alternatives.

Almost certainly the last post!

I know that I have a number of readers who followed the old blog via an LJ feed. I can't set that up for you on the new blog and it does make comments a challenge (they disappear after a short space, and I don't always realise people have commented:-( ). But I know that many of you don't use a separate feedreader either.

Then I remembered that I've seen blogs with email subscriptions! And I thought "I can do that!" So I have.

You can find the link (at The Genial Hearth, obviously) in the right hand sidebar, towards the bottom (just after the Picture Study). You can also choose to subscribe to the comments.

Hope this helps:-) I haven't used this before, so it's a bit of an experiment for me:-)

I'm leaving Blogger.

For a while now I've been working on my new blog, and I've finally got it sorted.

So, no more posts there–they're already over at the new blog (along with _some_ of your comments!)

There are also a handful of extra posts.

Head on over and visit me at The Genial Hearth!

Just to let you all know that the LJ feed appears to have lost my blog this last week... the last three posts haven't shown up (including my yummy Minestrone!) It's not that I've gone completely silent! But you will need to go directly to my blog to follow our doings:-)

Just in case I've missed you out... I'm having a tupperware party on Monday the 12th at 7.30. All are welcome, even if it's only to catch up. Let me know by the 9th if you're planning on being there, so I can work out how much food to do:-)

It's at home. If you're interested in coming but don't know where I live, let me know and I'll work out how to tell you where that is:-)

Tomorrow night it could be you:-)

See livelurker's blog for details, and let us know there.

So I thought I'd have folks over on Sunday the 11th to play games. Come by from about 3ish. We have some games, but not a huge range, so feel free to bring more.
I'll make some Spiced Apple Juice, a cake and the like, and I figure we'll sort out some sort of takeaway for dinner (if anyone feels like staying).
I'd love to see you here... email me if you need the address.

Just a reminder that my blog has a feed and is far more interesting:-)

Late notice I know.

This Saturday, at 10am I am having a Learning Ladders party (think Tupperware but for kids books and a few toys, some of you may have been at third monkey's one).

Theoretically, purchases should be available in time for Christams (2 week turnaround), which is why it's happening at such short notice. So, if anyone has small children to buy Christmas presents for, it may be ideal:-) It's kind of like going to a bookshop, but it's basically kids stuff, and it's in someone's loungeroom—and there will be some snacks:-)

They have a reasonable range of Dorling Kinersly(sp) books, and some other cool looking stuff (lots of reference type, and a few early readers). If any one is interested in coming, it'd be great if you could let me know so I don't hideously over or under cater:-) Kids are welcome, and you're also most welcome to bring a friend. I figure it should be over by about 12.

Me on LJ, I mean:-)

Given I so rarely post here, I thought it might interest some folk to know that my blog (which I update far more regularly than this!) now has an LJ feed.

Just a reminder that this will be on this Saturday.

We can organise dinner (for anyone interested) and continue on into the evening.

See you then:-)

July 15th is the birthday of Clement Clark Moore, credited with writing 'A Visit from St Nick' (otherwise know as 'Twas the Night Before Christmas').

It seems appropriate to celebrate Christmas in July around this time, so...

Christmas in July Craft Day
Saturday July 16th
1pm onwards

I am planning on using it as an opportunity to get started with Christmas preparation - time to make Christmas crackers and fruit mince:-) Time to start thinking about making Christmas cards (not sure that I'll do that, but still) and time to start thinking about making Christmas presents.

I might make some gingerbread to nibble on for the occasion.

All are welcome (I know some people will be at Continuum) even if you're not doing Christmas craft.

It could be you!

Readers of Pad's blog/LJ will recognise this offer, but we didn't want _you_ to miss out:-)

Check out his blog for details.

And remember, if this time doesn't suit, check back occasionally for the next time we do this:-)

I've started a new blog as I complete this task.

First entry, possibly only one? Figured I should try this version of spreading my thoughts:-)
Of course, there's always my blog which is more regularly updated.
